Re: Powdercoat Calipers

I could have rebuilt the front, but it was just easier to buy new and paint them. The old one would have needed to ne torn down, sand blasted, painted, and put back together. As for the back one caliper froze up and was "cooked" so just bought new. I spent money on the best rotors and pads so ...

Re: Twilight Sentinel switch

I just looked down one day and it was missing. Searched the whole car, nothing. I swear this car does this to me on purpose. I'll even consider a different color button and paint it.

Twilight Sentinel switch

I lost one of the buttons on my twilight sentinel. Does anyone have one they like to part with? Mine are black.

Those look like Grand Prix GXP calipers. Mine are red, but say nothing on them.

Re: Powdercoat Calipers

Didn't your calipers come from the factory P/Ced? Mine did. BTW, you can use the air pump for the suspension to "pop" the piston. Why not just rebuild your factory calipers?

Replacing rear spark plugs.

The fronts were as Rodney said " a piece of cake", but the rears look like a bi*ch. How and what do you need to remove that "sensor" mounted over the VC? Does that hose carry water? The other pipe, I have no idea where it goes. I see the bracket bolts are 10mm. Any help is appreciated.

Does anyone know what the stock pipe size is into and out of the muffler on a GXP?

Re: Running rough on initial start

Thanks. I was hoping that it wasn't a water line. BTW, I used Bosch Iridium plugs. I bought a new set of coils for the rear. Don't want to do this again if I don't have to.

Re: Running rough on initial start

Re: Running rough on initial start

Just to make sure, the factory plugs were iridium. Right? I'm going to do the even bank now and then the rear odds in a few weeks. Thanks for the help. BTW, is there a Youtube video for replacing the coils? If anyone has a direct link that would be great. Thanks.

Re: Running rough on initial start

I got the dreaded SES code this morning upon start up. As soon as it started, I knew something was amiss. (no pun intended) The SES was blinking which told me that there was a miss somewhere. It was running rough, to say the least. After work I headed to Autozone to have them pull the code. He said ...

Re: window mouldings

You need to be careful not to scratch the paint, but they come fairly easy. The rears need to be pried up on. I put a strip of masking tape under moulding and used a flat blade scraper to initially loosen it. After having it come up a bit, I used a screwdriver on the end edge. Once it comes off and ...

Re: window mouldings

I repainted mouldings this weekend. Take your time and they come out quite nice. I used Rustoleum Trim and Bumper paint. I removed them to paint. Will do fronts in the spring

That metal on the door is torn. I wouldn't accept anything less than a new door. It's a shame, but people just don't give a shizz anymore.

Re: window molding fix for 2000+

Has anybody removed the upper moldings? Mine are shot also. Going to do this in the spring. I'm going to spray mine. I did a previous vehicle with bumper/trim paint and it lasted at least until I gave car to nephew which was a few years. I would just prefer to remove and paint.

I bought their disc brake caliper tool and have success with it. I do all my own brake work and work for a few neighbors. No problems with it.
