Re: Custom Shifter
I did an aurora gated shifter in the factory spot. Its 100000X better than the OEM Bonneville one IMO. Not an easy swap however if your not good with modifying interior plastics

Re: Performance Shift Button Install Question.
FYI any car that does not have "Performance Shift" originally equipped can be added. I got a hold of a DHP tuner and was able to turn the Parameter on. Once that was completed, I edited the tables in the PCM, so I actually have a performance shift. Higher RPM shifting and Trans line pressures, for ...

Re: Series 2 Supercharger 3800 OR the Northstar 4.6 GXP engi
the L32 is the 04+ Version of the Supercharged Series 3 3800. Major Changes were Powered Metal Connecting rods, GenV M90 Supercharger, and electronic Throttle Body.
there has been much discussion on the strength of the Powered Metal vs the Cast Rods on the Series 2.
You can adapt the Gen V SC ...

****Make sure you have the Photobucket plug in to see the pics****
I have successfully added the 92-95 SSE/SSEi front Lower Lip to a 00+ SLE/SSEi front bumper. If we take a look back at how this came about, sometime in around 2001-2002 i remember seeing a 92-99 SSEi with the front lip busted off ...

Re-worked GXP rockers to fit SSEi cladding
****Make sure you have the Photobucket plug in to see the pics****
From looking at the Dates on my pics it appears that I had been working on the rockers for about 1.5-2 years.

There's no identifying numbers either, so don't be concerned that you're losing some sort of originality. Only you will know that that block and parts didn't first go into that car.

More Resonators the better
Closest is a 18" 4" round Magnaflow Resonator. Further back is a 36" 6" round Magnaflow resonator

Re: Bolt on records?
its on a 2.8 pulley and could use more honestly.
It is not a hybrid. its a Magnusen 4th Generation MP112 Blower, the Intercooler is the adapter plate.
Here is the build thread with all the specifics. http://www.pontiacbonnevilleclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=48519&view=next

Re: Bolt on records?
I believe I'm the Fastest active running car. I went 12.50 @ 108mph with a Tune, GenV IC and 1.9 rockers. It was a true bolt on setup. STOCK cam and heads.
I have added Alum Heads, very large lift cam, and a MP112 Intercooled Supercharger. I don't have numbers as of yet for the new setup

I did it. You cannot use the Grand prix needles. You have to use Aztek Needles because of the length of the post that holds it on to the stepper motor

the carpet is in 2 sections, a front and rear. It is divided underneath the front seats. Either way the front seats, plastic door sill plates and center console must be removed to remove the carpet

Re: trans compatabilty
The GTP will most likely not interchange because the 3 mounting points for the rear trans mount are usually (not always I have seen a few different cases in W bodies) not cast into the Trans, so you wouldn't be able to attach your rear trans mount

as a general rule of thumb, you upsize .2 from the Gen 3 pulley. With the headers I wouldn't be afraid of a 3.4

Re: Hp tuners and transmission
your first issue with turning could be diff related, but it really sounds fluid related. I know you have checked the trans fluids, but just to be sure, you checked the Trans at operating temp (160-180*) parked on a flat level surface, ran the shifter thru all the gears with your foot on the brake ...

compnine.com is a Pay site that will break down all options with production numbers (or it did at least a few years ago)
