Re: Unplug rear speakers
Trick is: designed to be a quick-connect at Factory assembly line, and not removable without special tool (surprise). Advice: turn down your sound system output volume, before you damage your eardrums (if not already too late) and make yourself lose your hearing! (You will want to have it later in ...

[WD-40 or similar = NO.] Generally, first place to ask about which product to use for what purpose is your local Dealership (ask the oldest Parts guy 1st, then the Service Rep 2nd choice); just stop in.

Re: 2003 SE "security harness" prevents remote start?
Yes the GM security systems are designed to use "proprietary" signals between the Computer and Ignition Key/starting sub-system. Most shops will not touch such systems just because they have learned from Industry experience. And sadly, there are established rings of fraudsters who have gone to small ...

Hope-ing your engine is still running OK, Larry...but have some info for you, after reading through all the posts about this issue. 1. - The I.C.M. should not have anything placed between it and it's mounting bracket, by design. Using silver-bearing paste (PC heat-sink compound) in that 'huge' area ...

Re: Help with testing a fuel pump
Uhhh...the loaner/rent-'em fuel pressure gauge kits come-WITH instructions (sometimes on a CompactDisc that 'should' be in the plastic box, but which the store may have decided to keep behind the counter). The testing procedure IS posted elsewhere on this site; a simple search will find it. (Most ...

Greetings, fellow 'sufferer'... From the previous, i will just segue smoothly into my question: are you familiar with all of the many maintenance and fix-it-now-before-it-fails common problem areas of these Bonnes? If not, i would suggest reading through the many Techinfo and other posts on such ...

It has been awhile since last post. First, a thankyou to everyone for your replys.-----The mysteries have been solved for this particular 99 Bonne SE with 'K' code engine. Re: P0420 Code after replacing the front O2 Sensor
Signal levels get sent to the PCM; sensors do not communicate with each other. UN-fortunately, when you decided to drive around with an inoperable (and illegal) Emissions System, you very likely killed your Catalytic Converter's very thin layers of very expensive internal coatings. Running an engine ...

A 10 second search showed 5 Saturn Forums out on the www. Despite being in the 'wrong' Forum, may we suggest: if your car uses the typical GM black nylon vacuum lines, they are infamous for having hidden cracks that leak only intermittently, or only under certain conditions (acceleration or ...

Re: Misfire p0304 with some weird symptoms!
Get a "real" fuel pressure gauge, attach it carefully (no leaks allowed! under-hood) and check the pressures you get AT the fuel rail. Key "on", engine "off", you should see a bit less than the spec for your specific year&engine. Try that engine "off" test multiple times, allowing 10 seconds between ...
Re: Fuel Leak
Sorry to say, but if you have not ALREADY found your very dangerous fuel leak, and fixed it...you should not be attempting to fix it, and should not be driving your car. Some vehicle repairs are critical Safety Issues, not to be attempted by the DIY/amateur; this is one of them. Make an appointment ...

Teearohwhy [interesting surname or nickname? by-the-way], unfortunately, the info you provided in your post is in-exact. Also, the Techinfo tables of resistance values do not contain your 2003 year SLE within them. In the world of electronic devices, one must be very specific, as i am sure you will ...

LOTS of info on the www re swaps to Series II. Just the basics: you would need to swap trannys as well to handle the power. Plus different engine would need a newer computer, you'd have to rewire everything. SC Series II weren't released until the 1996 Model. All 92-95 SSEi's, SSE, and SE with the ...

From your results, i would suggest double-checking your V.A.R. Instrument (yeah, i know, everbody calls 'em a VOM, but the gadget doesn't "meter" anything), using known values of high-tolerance resistors. Get several, to check ALL the ranges of your instrument. i.e. - 5ohms, 1K ohms, 10k ohms, 1 Meg ...

Re: Dorman 800-059 Nylon fuel replacement line
Any "good" Auto Parts store will have the special GM tool, and, can show you how to use it. But if you have never done this kind of work before, try to round up an experienced gearhead friend to assist. Fuel lines and connections MUST be done perfectly, or fuel can leak on a hot engine. Be CAREful ...
