Re: Only ONE dome light will not go off
The door pin switch, that turns the light on when the door is open, is stuck on. Push it in and let it snap out a few times. Tap on it's base with something hard to get it to release.

60*
Started to wipe down the interior with...er.......wipes last week then decided against it as the floor was dirty enough that didn't think it would stay just there. Today got it and the trunk vacuumed. Wiping down tomorrow should last me until Spring gets here.

Re: Best/most recommended out of the Mobil 1 Oil line up?
I was in the meet or exceed the manufacturers API and you're good to go camp until trying synthetic(happened to be Mobil 1). Tried it first in MC. Increased gas mileage at least enough to pay for the oil. Same thing with G Am. Still using it in the Bonneville but haven't done any testing.

If a coating is going to have a problem with being cleaned can't say they'd have much longevity being used constantly. Especially with washer solvent. Bug splattered windshield would have to be at least as abrasive as paper towel.

AFAIK one plug fires when current flow begins(rise) and the other when it stops(collapse). Collapse is usually stronger so a week coil might have one plug have problems first.

Re: How are your Bonne's wiper blades?
Replaced blades with Anco in September IIRC. About a month ago noticed one coming apart. Freezing rain and snow at the time. What else is new? Stopped at Wal-Mart late. Planned on a different brand but Anco winter blades were all they had. So far so good with them and no ice getting into the ...

Looks good/normal to me. Usually browse on this computer connected to my HDTV, 1366X768. Things are normally small. Viewing at ~ 6 foot. Keep the magnification setting in the lower right corner at 125% and go higher when it's needed. Every thing seems huge when using the other computer with a ...

Wish we had gotten the 3" of snow they had forecast instead of the freezing rain we got. Rained hard enough it froze uneven. Now when cars drive buy it reminds me of peanut brittle. At least if gives a little traction.

Re: Battery question.
I seriously doubt an inch of Styrofoam would make a difference over night. A good charging system, battery and clean connections should be good for well below zero. Some slow down is normal. If it's barely making it in single digit temps get the systems checked.

Re: Choosing brand filters
When the pay me now/ pay me later ads started running all of the filters were made in the USA. Consumer Reports even rated them #1. Probably early nineties. Since then Fram has been owned by several corporations and a lot of the manufacturing was moved to Mexico. I live in a small Ohio town with a ...

Guess "today" means Sunday. OP is after midnight and oddly Blown93SSEi's post is 25 minutes in the future.

Re: Snow ability.
My favorite vehicle for snow was a 77LUV pickup. Had 2 large cement filled tires in the bed and J series snow tries(really wide for the truck). Only 2 times it ever got stuck the frame was sitting on packed snow. Had so little power it could barely spin the Js in snow. Took my friend a quick 6 mile ...

Haven't tried this but it sounds about right. It's what I'd try for an erratic pot. Haven't taken an encoder apart, yet.

The battery picture could be the poster boy for needs attention. Then again, even a pristine looking connection can have problems on the inside that keeps the electrons from passing over.
