okay...the start problem is resolved now by changing the map sensor. a weird thing happened today...i was getting my car checked at a mechanic shop for the jerks that I am getting while driving,the hud was open,I started the car and there whew,there was smoke from the engine under the covered area ...

When does it misfire? All the time? Just during acceleration? Idling? When were the plugs and wires last replaced? If your battery is bad, replace it. Low voltage can cause all kinds of woes on these cars.

update:

now the security sign is off too. no signs of car getting started.no sound, no lights, nothing.seems to be car is dead. called AAA for a battery boost if that helps.

car is starting now by jump start and it's better fuel mileage, probably due to new MAP sensor...and the code gone too ...
