Is it Pretty simple to change the filter? Some guidance would be appreciated.

Yes it is. Its odd because it doesn't slip. It just shifts at higher rpms like 3k even on light throttle and doesn't get into od. Hoping a filter change fixes my problem ... until then anything else?

Its a 1998 SSE therefore (from what I can tell) the hud just displays speed, high beam indicator and any check gauges like low fuel.
