Re: Fuel Fitting At Rail - Possible Leak?
I didn't get the dorman kit. The gm line said non-repairable. So the whole line had to be replaced. I couldn't even get the barb in with a torch on it. GM discontinued the original part so 2 screw clamps and a flexible hose are on there now and it works.

Re: Fuel Fitting At Rail - Possible Leak?
I tried with an extra hot blow dryer and boiling water to put the barbs over. I think I tore the end of the nylon hose trying to pull it over with my forceps. What would you recommend if I can't get it over?

Re: Fuel Fitting At Rail - Possible Leak?
So I got the Dorman repair kit and even after boiling the lines try didn't want to go all the way over the barbs. I'm going to try heating them up with blow dryer but I'm ready to give up on it. Any suggestions on a steel line to fit an SSEI sending line? If not a full nylon line?

Re: Engine rough idle - eliminating possibilities
I changed the spark plugs, and wire. There was a bit off coolant coming out, so I flushed the system and put in JBs stop leak powder. The system never overheated. The LIM gasket hasn't ever been done. I switched from orange dex-cool to green stuff. Where are instructions for replacing LIM gasket ...

Re: Engine rough idle - eliminating possibilities
I threw in some JBs Stop Leak powder in the coolant system and the rough idling stopped. Does that mean it was the lim gasket?

Engine rough idle - eliminating possibilities
So it started when I had to replace my egr valve. During the replacement the studs on the egr adapter seized and broke off. I tried to replace the egr adapter only to find the one I purchased didn't have the stovepipe attached. So it's the same adapter with a new egr valve duct taped on to it ...

Re: Breaking Tire Bead
I also want to suggest a second set of rims, especially with the predicament you face on a regular basis. I feel that hand tools are not feasible, especially for car tires of that natures. Slide hammers are good at breaking beads too (what is used for tractor trailer tires), but even smaller truck ...

Breaking Tire Bead
Hey guys, I have a hectic schedule so I can't take my car into the auto shop because they demand my car stay at their shops too long (basically until they can get around to it.) So I'm looking for the best procedure for breaking the tire bead so I can throw my summer tires on. I have a 17 inch rim ...

Re: A/C Cliamte Control Panel
I found a replacement for $140.00 in Calgary. It was a quick and easy job too. I think that just about does it for my summer maintenance.
Thank you for the advice.

Re: A/C Cliamte Control Panel
I tested the connection and it doesn't work. So it seems to be the unit itself. I will need to buy a replacement.
