Yeah sorry, I don't get much time for computer. Problem was a lifter specifically in bank 2, had slightly collapsed. when i posted originally, I was looking for help. Not to help someone else. However I appreciate the help received, wish I had more free time to help others.

Okay I have posted this problem once before. Car has a knock when I start it and while its at idle. Doesn't affect performance, or at least it doesnt seem too. Thought it was a bad injector, replaced injector on what seemed to be the bad one from ohm reading. Did not make a difference. Open to ideas ...

I actually have a guy who has one ready for me to pick up tomorrow. I have already removed the fuel rail and pulled the injector. I just hope this is the problem. I appreciate your help.

the injectors are original. I did a ohm test and have one reading off the charts compared to the other five. Plug wires, plugs, and coils have at least 25,000 miles because we have put that many miles on the car since purchasing it last march.

I believe I have a bad injector: any thoughts?

Ok yesterday my 2000 SSEi sounded terrible on startup. A pinging sound or a tap. Not a knock. It has 117,000 miles. the motor seemed to be shaking back and forth. my 2000 SSEi makes a pinging at startup. sounds horrible. if you turn it off and restart it is no longer there. sometimes gotta restart several times before it stops
