Need new struts - any suggestions?
Hi Gang,
Need to replace struts/mounts in my 00 SSEI and would like to restore factory ride. That is to say I don't want the stiffness that would come with performance replacements. I know I can get everything from the dealer but just wondering if anybody has found aftermarket that might be better ...

Re: Celebration - - graduated to a SC
Sorry guys, haven't had a chance to take pics yet - - will try to post some over the weekend. It is completely stock, so you'll see just another black Bonne with chrome 17's. I think the only option it lacks is heated seats.

Celebration - - graduated to a SC
Hey gang,
After 8 months of searching, I finally graduated to an SSEI. My 97 SE had demonic possesion, but I loved her til the end. I labored over the pros and cons of stepping up, and finally ran across a Black 2000 with only 77K that is vertually flawless. It has never seen a snow flake and the ...

Re: gas tank
It's easy - - got mine from NAPA. I think they were #22. Remember they are un-equal length. The longer one goes on the driver's side. You can get 2 new bolts and body clips too.
Probably cost you under $20

Re: whats this piece of trim called?
The moulding is called a "wipe strip" or "belt moulding". At the risk of boring you to tears I'll explain. The name "belt mldg" refers to the overall shape of a door. Much the same as your garments, you have a belt horizontally between your shirt and your pants. On much older cars the mldg was ...

Re: Help!!! I'm about to step up the ladder!!!
Sorry I don't have any link to her. I've been looking for a newer Bonnie to replace my aging/ailing 97 SE, and found to my regret that these cars are fast disappearing. I found one at a local used car lot, which is normally the last place in the world I would go.

Re: Help!!! I'm about to step up the ladder!!!
Thanks a bunch for the links with lots of usefull info - - I'm not too scared of the intake gaskets - - can do some things myself and that's not too expensive. I'm more concerned about potential costs directly related to the supercharger. I'm trying to avoid buying the car and then soon spending ...

I'm about to go from my 97 SE to an 02 SSEi with 110K - - - can you tell me anything I should watch for or be concerned about - - don't know much about the SC and don't want to inherit a nightmare. Assuming the car shows to be reasonably well kept and maintained, is there a way to look ...

Hi gang - just found your site. I've been a Bonneville fan ever since the mid 90's when I was a service writer for Pontiac/GMC. Always said they were the best kept secret in the automotive world. Dollar for dollar, pound for pound, they can keep their Beemers - - Bonnies are the best. I've had my 97 ...
