Re: Project New Zealand - ('65 Bonneville re-build)

Welcome,
your pictures show exactly what I'm up against in the future restoration of my 66 Bonneville. Loads of rust, NO PARKING signs for floorboards, fried wiring harness, engine never been rebuilt (still runs and has the teal paint color), no alternator, using a pair of well charged deep cycle ...

Re: No Start

check the starter solenoid and the wires leading to it, the copper disc inside the solenoid can cause trouble, if it can be taken out, sand it down on both sides, get that old gas out out of the tank and carb, our old Bonnevilles have tempermental AFB carbs and will gum up a float valve in a ...

Re: Any meets in the Houston TX area

This is a tough one to answer. You will find dozens of car clubs here in Houston. Any one of them will be meeting on any given weekend scattered from on side of this city to the other. There is a local classic gathering at the Chik-Fil-A at Kirby and Southwest Freeway as well as many impromptu ...

Re: 99 Lesabre check engine light

The oil was changed a couple of weeks ago and I don't see any color change whatsoever, there is a very small leak from the water pump seal and does need coolant added once a month. So far, the check engine light hasn't come back on since the coolant was topped off. Guess it's about time for a new ...

99 Lesabre check engine light

My sister's 99 Lesabre check engine light flashed on while she was on the freeway yesterday and this morning I found the coolant level was a gallon low, after adding coolant, the check engine light was still on. I checked to make sure gas cap was tight, oil level and trans fluids were all up to ...

Re: New pics of my Silverado

Your Chevy is a handsome truck and should last you many, many years to come. I may end up replacing the stock hood with a raised turbo hood. They are mean looking.

Re: another Chevy truck

This is the first diesel I have ever owned and was surprised by the tremendous low end torque, but also surprised about how quick it is on the throttle, even more so that it goes from a standstill to 85 as quick as it does. The truck as well as my Bonneville, and the lawnmower are being run on Shell ...

It is a 95 with a 6.5 liter turbo diesel, standard tranny. It won't just pull stumps, it'll pull the whole tree down, roots and all.

Re: trouble posting pix. 1966 Superior Coach

Gumball, thanks for posting BlueBelle's picture, she is very old school, very few of her siblings have survived, maybe half a dozen left out of 136 that were built by Superior Coach. She is in dire need of total restorastion, floorboards are nonexsistent, and she still runs with a totaly fried ...

Mine is a 1966 Superior Coach Co. "Consort" Pontiac Bonneville. Is there room for an old classic Bonneville here?
Thanks
