i repalced the plugs and plug wires... the car runs great i'm very happy with it.. its not sitting at the end of my drive way fro sell lol 1850 obo..

Oh MY GOSH i got the car all back to get and it runs good no smoke or etc... i changed to oil 3 times today after i let it runs for a little bit i need to change it again tomorrow

and one more thing i made a noob mistake......i pulled all the plug wires off with out looking at the firing order..... does anyone know what the firing order is on a 1998 LeSbre 3.8?

yeah. well here my thing i have another buick its a 66 skylark...
so what i want to do with this LeSabre is fix it and do it right and re-sale it the blue book on it is about 3600 i paid 250 for it and i have now with the new intak 228 dollars worth of parts.... i figure if i can get it running ...

nah its okay to pay a little more to have it now... i got it its sitting in my truck. you guys are right i should just do it right the first time so i don't gotta sink money back into it in 6 months

well i called the auto part store they got one instock for 129.99 plus taxs so i'm gonna run over there and pick it up and in the morning before i get to my shop i'll make sure to pick up the oil at wal mart...

well i have had time to read much of anything as i have only owned this car for 48hours now.....
i'll inspect the intake tomorrow and if i have problems with it i'll have to buy a new upper intake

alright guys so i pulled the upper and lower intake off the car today
so upon removing the upper intake i found there to be a ton of water in it so i'm guessing that its not the headgasket since there is no way for water to come into the intake from blown head gaskets
i didn't drain the oil i wasn ...

the car is not at my house its at my dads he has a big shop i use. so i'm gonna head over there right now and start working on it

okay well i guess what i'm gonna do it... pull the intake off and if doesn't look like it was leaking i'll pull the heads off but if the intake gasket are come plete junk i'm just gonna do them and run seafoam in the crackcase and intake...

i think my plan is i'm just gonna do the intake gaskets and then run it till it quits steaming and then i'll run some seafoam in a vacuum line to help clear up some of the moister
like i said i just wanna do a quick reapir/patch job so the car will last for about another 1-1.5 half

not really looking to do head gasket on it....
i've never done head gasket before on these do i just remoevd the intake then removed vavles covers and then remove all the head bolts and pull them off?

well i think i'll get it all squared away tomorrow i hope.. in the morning i'll go to the auto part store and hopfully they will have gaskets in stock. i'll buy 10 qts of oil and a oil filter drain the oil fill it up with 5 qts and then do the intake replace the gaskets and the elbows and we should ...
