Sorry, didn't realize it's a 2WD.

That's the way my 'Burb sits now (front lifted), as I still have the bars cranked up... To support the weight of the plow.

Torsion bars stopped in '07 Classic. All the GMT900 and K2Y (and whatever the hell they call the new ones) had front strut setups, 2 or 4wd.

Yep. Took me a while to figure out why all of my radio setting were screwed up. As it turns out it will even store the memory of your balance, fader and EQ settings. Every time I would get in the car all of my EQ settings were messed up but my station presets were fine. Once I figured out that on t...

Agreed, the Holden swap is something popular on all (GTO, G8 and SS).

It's not hard for one to do, just a little costly to get all the parts in some cases (like doing the interior parts too).

Yeah, the real trick is getting the MyLink flashed to the Holden setup...

G8 guys run it. They're running ZL1 or Magnuson setups predominantly, and they seem to work great. Outlet temps at or lower than ambient even running down the highway. Not sure how you'd hook it up on a Bonne though, and it's as much money as the blower itself, or in this case, any 2000+ Bonneville.

This month I have seen 2 new Holden Commodores driving around this part of the world. I could not run along side them to see the VIN (I don't run any more and when I could I couldn't run that fast any way), but what ever they are they were new. - BC They're Chevy SS's that guys swapped the holden b...

If the level sending unit is bad, no kind of gauge will show the fuel level. Correct, but he's trying to diagnose if the sending unit is bad or the gauge in the dash is bad. Any decent scanner will tell you that information, and is a good item to have on hand. You can even just get one of the bluet...

Maybe drain and refill with the oil you regularly use, but don't change the filter and see what happens?

From what I remember from when I was in the game, the SSIC isn't worth it. It's the same amount of work and hassle for almost the same money and less gain. Just bite the bullet and go full stack. However, the reason I'm not in the 3800 game is because it wasn't worth it, and I stepped up to a platfo...

The only factory replacement style that's readily available is the air shock. There's 2 parts to it, the shock absorber and the air leveling. You can run them without the air, or run the switch, but I'm guessing that all that's wrong with your leveling system is the ride height sensor, if it wouldn'...

KBB lets you add stuff like that because they know people did it, not because it's necessarily an option. Just like they let you add on brush guards and tonneau covers to pickup trucks. It plays into the value some, but not much. Just remember that rare does not equal valuable, or desirable. Yugo's ...

I hope I can make it. I don't have any vacation time at work and I work Saturdays, so that'd be 3 unpaid days (ouch) but I'll try and move a couple of days off or something to make up for it. That weekend works for me though, the GF will be gone June 2-11 or something like that, so this works perfect.

This is where I think GM and Cadillac sorta have a gap. On the Chevy side, going up in size for example, you have the Captiva, Equinox, Traverse, Tahoe, Suburban. Basically they fill every size gap. However, for Cadillac, you basically go from 0 - 60. You have the Equinox sized SRX (since you're lo...

It's pretty amazing how many parts are interchangeable across brands. The hard part is knowing what they are and most shops don't have the time to look into these things. Certainly not for someone just walking in..."You guys got anything like this?". Mechanics and parts guys can work toge...

Looks good Mike!! It's funny (now, to me) that he uses Polaris bearings, as I just started working the Parts Counter at a local Powersports dealership that sells Yamaha, Polaris and BRP machines (including Indian, Slingshot, Star, Yamaha M/C, etc). So, if you ever need OEM parts, I can try and find ...

I called my body shop guy yesterday to ask how much it would cost to paint the GP the same color as my 04 Bonne was, the White-Gold Tri-Coat. Yikes, he spit out that $3k figure without stuttering! Looks like that idea will be waiting for a bit. LOL 3 grand is cheap, I'd have guessed 5-6k. Paint and...

Pretty sure the HUD switch just pops out with some prying. Use a plastic pry tool or a flat screwdriver wrapped in electrical tape to avoid damaging the trim.

Never seen a plate in there, and none of the Bonnes (4 Bonnes, all 2000+) came with OEM cabin filters, at least none that were there when I had them. Should be just a matter of getting the filter with the bracket and finessing it in there. I'd like a picture of what you're working with. How to post ...
