Not completely dead. I just noticed that I still get error messages on the DIC. (Such a door ajar and trunk open, I don't know about the error codes) But none of the control functions.

Yesterday morning I tried to turn my DIC on and got nothing. None of the buttons did anything. It has worked fine up to now so I suspect a fuse or relay, but my owners manual does not specify which ones. I actually find the DIC annoying and usually leave it off, but I would like to adjust ...

Success, with a few tugs on the emergency release and a rap or two with a small screwdriver it freed up and is working just fine. I suppose the lube had a chance to work while I was pecking at the keyboard. Much thanks, I can cross that item off the list!

I also have this issue, and it will not free up (The pin just sot of quivers when I hit the buttons). Will the mechanism just pop off once I remove the pins? TIA!
