Good find, looks like it just needs a little TLC and a bath. Can't wait to see it finished.

Awesome look. I am inspired to paint mine. Like those rims too, how about a full car shot when you get a chance? :poke:

Re: My GXP comes to an end.

Great looking car, sorry you lost it, especially under those circumstances.

I really like those rims. Black with the thin red line looks nice. I saw some similar rims on a black Z06 and it looked great. I would be interested in them if you are able to get the car and/or rims back. Also, interested ...

Re: My First Bonneville

Welcome to the club, great looking SSEi.

As for the muffler, you will get a lot of differing opinions but most like the Magnaflow's. All a matter of what sound you are looking for. Another member, sorry don't remember who, has a great set up with Hooker Aero Chamber mufflers. Don't know of any ...

Re: Should I go with 2 or 1?

Awesome, thank you 2000Silverbullet for the pics =D> , that is exactly what I had in mind for my own set-up, and thanks everybody for the responses. I found out some of the new Flowmaster ForceII axle-back systems for V6 cars come with 60 Series Delta Flow mufflers and they sound great. I know my ...

Re: Should I go with 2 or 1?

So, been listening to approximately 100 different sound clips over the last couple weeks and I have come to the conclusion there is almost no difference, or at least I can't really find any, between Flowmaster, Magnaflow, Dynomax, etc. It's just too hard to tell and there are too many differences in ...

Re: Should I go with 2 or 1?

I would love a true dual set up but I don't know if there is enough room. It has been my experience that some of these lower riding GM cars just don't have room underneath.

My main question is, would the dual mufflers affect sound? I was hoping two mufflers would create a type of echoing lower ...

Re: Should I go with 2 or 1?

It would be a stock set-up otherwise. I am basically wondering if there would be a difference in going with the F-body style Magnaflow mounted across the back of the car with dual outlets or, two smaller mufflers closer to the back of the car, possibly with tips attached directly to the muffler ...

Re: Should I go with 2 or 1?

Will it even make a difference if it is not a true dual exhaust and it simply splits behind the rear axle? Just looking for the best mellow, smooth, sound.

Should I go with 2 or 1?

Just wondered if there would be a sound difference or advantage to running 2 mufflers rather than 1? It would be for sound only, not looking for performance.

For sake of argument, lets assume we are comparing the option of 1 Magnaflow with a one inlet/two outlet design versus 2 Magnaflow's with a ...

Re: Headlight washer mod/gag

I've heard of this being done before but don't know the first thing about making it happen. A guy I knew was tired of people getting too close to his Plymouth Belvedere GTX at shows so he rigged something up so he could spray them if needed.

If you get it working, I guess just use caution and don ...

Re: Bonneville murders

Once, driving down a state highway at night in a 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse, doing about 50mph, I hit something that sounded HUGE! I never even saw it as it went under the passenger side tires. Pulled over a mile or two later to inspect and there was blood splattered on the passenger side door, I ...

Same here in ohio, contract-raise about 5,000 at a time for Heimerl Farms but own the building. My dad has been considering putting up a second building to hold another 5,000 but the EPA regulations are just ridiculous.

Re: Newest Addition to the fleet: 1999 Freightliner Day Cab

00Beast, awesome new ride.

On a side note, my father drives a Kenworth T2000 (I think) during the day and has a small hog farm as well. Been a family farm for years and years but hard to make it that way, in Ohio at least, any longer. Nice to see a fellow hog farmer making it.

Re: new engine?

I agree with ccmarnaj. Not sure what the set up on your motor is but I had something similar happen in my wife's Durango. Aluminum heads with steel internals. Aluminum expands when hot while the steel does not expand at all or as much. Valves and other internals in the heads can suddenly move around ...
