In Search Of.......
Does anyone know where I can buy 2500 grit and 3000 grit sandpaper? I am going to be doing some wetsanding. I would prefer a Canadian source but if there is only a USA source available a website would be a great help. I have tried Canadian Tire and NAPA Canada already.

Re: Octane Question
Actually it was a NOS product that "claims" a 5 point increase so his thinking was 89+5=94 octane

Octane Question
I recently had a customer come into my store and asked that since he has to run premium gas (91 octane) could he run an 89 octane (which is cheaper by almost 15 cents a litre here) and add an octane boost to bring it up to a 91? I honestly couldn't answer this one....what do you all think

Re: Save my Bonny!
I just saw your numbers and have to put my 2 cents in. A few weeks back we had a Focus that came in with huge fail on NOx. Normally we would replace the cat and get most likely a conditional pass. The tech that was doing the inspection found that the temp of the exhaust was way to high. Further exam ...

Re: Going Going..........
There's no frame left now. Been patching it up here and there but its getting way to pricey now. If I drive up on my alignment rack I can actually pull the car into a "V" shape. I have to say its funny to see it do that.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone one here. I will be leaving shortly. My 93 SSEi will be heading to boneyard heaven once my other car is on the road. You have all been a great source of knowledge and to be honest have helped me with good information for my customers at my garage. Even had some ...

Re: I think my transmission is gone
Check your 1-2 shift solenoid. The shift solenoids are mounted to the valve body which is behind the side cover of the transmission. Usually you have to lower the trans to remove the side cover which involves lowering the subframe. If you drop the subframe the steering rack must be disconnected and ...

Re: 4T60 E Fluid capacity??
I never received any tech info at work about Dex6. I know that we have it in a 5litre Mobil1 container. I just assumed it was overkill in a tranny that was taking ATF3

Re: 4T60 E Fluid capacity??
1 litre extra is not going to harm the tranny. There is no foam issue. I am only speaking of the 4t60-E transmissions here. And Silverbullet....Why are you going to add Dex 6 to your transmission when its not necessary. I have only seen it needed in post 2006 GM cars and trucks. ATF3 will work just ...

Re: 4T60 E Fluid capacity??
Speaking in Canuckeese I just did my tranny and the fluid capacity book we use says the capacity was 5.7 litres but it took more like 7 litres. That being said if you look at the dipstick when checking the level (in park, engine warm) you will see the cross hatching on the dip stick. Fill to the top ...

Have always wondered
Maybe someone on here can answer this question that been bugging me for a while. I know there is an aftermarket exhaust manifold for my 93 SSEi (the left or front manifold with crossover and heat shields Dorman# 674-577) but has anyone ever seen an aftermarket right or rear exhaust manifold? I had ...

Tail Tint...Need clarification on a step
I was looking through the steps to tint my tails and 2 steps don't make sense so I am hoping someone can clarify for me. I DO plan on adding the satin clear coat for a shiny appearance. Here is my dilemma...

spray one light coat on each part and let dry at least 5 minutes ...
