Re: question on cleaning supplies and equipment

For the polishes, go with the least aggressive first if you need more from there you can step up. The only concern I would have is the buffer, it is a circular if I am not mistaken. You need to make sure to keep the machine moving at all times as that one can burn through the paint if you set the ...

Re: What's Needed for a Nice Exterior Job

Believe me I am not knocking you for using Menz. I have seen your work and you are very good at what you do. I saw the boat thread on AG and I gotta say *dang* good work. Possibly a little crazy for trying to do that with a PC (UDM for you right?), I wouldn't have tried that without a rotary. Nor am ...

Re: What's Needed for a Nice Exterior Job

The yellow LC pads are very aggressive pads, unless you have some severe paint issues you should really stay away from them. Most scratches and swirls can be corrected with orange and sometimes even white.

Depending on what machine you are going to use for the correction will depend on the pads ...

The Ford looks pretty good. Im not really digging the limited cargo space, but the third row fold down right? If so, then Id say its pretty good. More and more Im starting to like what Ford is coming out with in recent years, especially their trucks. The Honda is alright I guess. Aside from the ...

If I donate the paint, I am going to get enough for you to paint my truck too. Your skills are amazing. Your hood came out better that any of the local body shops around me could have ever done. Guess thats what I get for living in mañana land.

Re: WCBF - Spring Break 09 Mini Meet

Wren, You need to paint that bumper to match your hood. You got that fantastic, beautiful hood with an old, busted, oxidized bumper cover, kinda throws off the look there. Otherwise a *dang* fine looking car you got there. Looking forward to a vid with a smoke show.

Re: Anyone use Jet chips on 94 ssei?

If I am not mistaken Wren has one for his 93 Ei. The 94/95 PCM is OBD 1.5 and a little different. The gearheads that know better will give you a more definite answer on what you could do.

Re: EDIT: Looked, Got Insulted by Dealer, Really Pissed.

I can't say much about the whole trade in value deal because I have never traded in a car to get a "new" one. What I do know about is shady dealerships and crappy sales people. About two years ago when my mom was looking to get a new car she went to a local Ford stealership and found a really nice ...

Re: Anyone ever tried this stuff?

I have used that before on my truck and didn't like it one bit. It is very easy to put on and take off and shines up pretty nice, but it doesn't last long. On plastic it leaves this greasy crap behind which naturally attracts dust and dirt. when you are taking the wax off, it streaks a bit if there ...

Re: 5-speed help

The rest of the fluid was dark, but not black like in the slave cyl. It took several tries to get it done without getting air bubbles. There was some dirt or debris in the fluid coming out which I was told is not good at all, so I am going to take the truck to one of the few mechanics I trust and ...

Re: 5-speed help

Well I bled the clutch and it didn't change much. Im going to see how much it is to rent a car while I have the truck looked at. I have no problem paying a professional to take care of things I cannot do on my own, but I do need a running car to keep me going for a few days while the truck is ...

Re: 5-speed help

Its a hydraulic clutch. I am going to try to bleed it tomorrow morning to see if that helps, the brake fluid in there is black. I have some brake fluid left over from the brake job I did this afternoon (makes a hell of a difference having new pads and new rotors), and I don't want it to go to waste ...

5-speed help

Hey yall,

I need a little help with my truck. Its a 2003 Nissan Frontier, 4 cyl, 5 spd, 2wd, 95000 miles. Since Ive had this truck, it has shifted like glass. The past week I have been having some major problems taking off in first gear, the truck shudders and takes a few seconds to catch the gear ...

Re: Totally different than a Bonneville

That truck is nice! Yeah the mpg's arent that great but thats not what a truck is for. I have driven one of the Big Horns before and its a good truck. Nice power and plenty of torque to spare. Dont know if yours has been corrected or not, but Dodge trucks did have a problem with ball joints for a ...

WOW!!!! :hail:

Wren, your cars look amazing. I have used LG on my truck but the results were no where near as nice. Light red shines up real nice, but it doesn't have that bold wet look to it. Is it me, or is Zilla darker than SLEeper? Maybe I'm just a pendejo...
