An update worth posting!
So quick shout out to all the members that chimed in on my transmission issue, LSS I got a serious piece coming in from triple edge performance, kinda a "1.5" build ( between his stage one and 2 offerings, I'm getting everything the stage 2 has hard part wise but with the valving and programming of ...

Wow... 3.69 gears will definitely get the point across on the entrance ramps, think I'll end this by saying thanks for all the info, I'm gonna get ahold of triple edge & have something built to order dor this operation; it ...

Re: Serious transmission question
Think this is gonna end with a phone call to triple edge performance... Although I did manage to confirm we can swap out same year w/body 4t65's you just gotta drill the bosses for the infamous rear H body trans mount. also seen some of them were packed with 3.33 & 3.60 gears, depending on specific ...

Re: Serious transmission question
Wow! Can we get some of those links stickied to the gear section? That's alot of good intel that kid composed on FB. Thanks for the info, did some research based on it and a few other sources and I'm starting to get an idea that could work... But *dang*; they kinda locked these things down so almost ...

Re: Serious transmission question
*dang*, so... Is there any way possible to get those 2 things in the same transmission without having to crack open the side pan? I'll be honest I don't even know if the ssei's got the 3.23, but being they got an "HD" I'm hoping that meant the hardened overdrive shaft went in them. And that's kinda ...

Re: Serious transmission question
So...
01 ssei trans, passenger side c/v axle, & a fresh tune from intense and I cand get a transmission that should have the hardened shaft and 3.23 gears long story short? Just gotta stick with my year cause of the electrical setup? Those are the 2 main things I'm worried about. Cause by the time ...

Re: Serious transmission question
So just order a fresh transmission and passenger side axel for an 03/04 ssei? And maybe a torque converter and plate to match?

Serious transmission question
So after new solenoids @ 199k miles and a new set of accumulator springs @ 255k; blossom ( my 01 SE, the star of the Lucerne radiator conversion) finally lost 4th @ interstate speed and slips intermittently from 4th at lower speeds... Yeah I know it's that *dang* clutch hub... But, I was originally ...

Re: Torque spec question
Thanks nosblood; I'm guessing those are the final numbers & they kinda jive with the numbers in the kit

Torque spec question
Just a quick question about the torque specs for the front end suspension; I have an 01 SE that I'm doing a complete front end rebuild on & I'm really only finding the specs for 2000. Are they the same? Reason why I'm asking is I've actually seen one of the differences between the red and white FSM ...

Re: has anyone tried this Lucerne HD radiator swap yet?
It's done and in. Here's the recipe:
Buick Lucerne HD radiator (duh)
Fan assembly, fan motor connecters, & the upper radiator hose from the Buick are also must haves. On the bright side the fans are the new brushless motor design and actually free up room between them and the front header. Both ...

Re: has anyone tried this Lucerne HD radiator swap yet?
thanks for the heads up! I'll be straight it's hard to find anything Short Star related nowadays, & after seeing the difference in the fans too i kinda planned on including them in the swap. kinda comprehensive that way. cool part is the only thing I wasn't entirely sure was the ac condenser, but ...

Re: Buick Lucerne HD Cooling Radiator in a 2000-2005 Bonnevi
straight up I found that no, the fan connectors aren't the same, but I also found a benefit to swapping the fans out for the lucernes too. they're bigger in diameter, & have a high speed motor with more aggressive fan blades attached. I got super lucky on a recent junk yard trip; they had only 2 ...

has anyone tried this Lucerne HD radiator swap yet?
hi; long time reader first time poster here, i was just wondering if anyone has tried a rumoured radiator swap I've seen just a few references to and was wondering if anyone has actually tried it.
