Really appreciate this write-up! Bought an '03 SLE with 55k miles and was outside sitting in a torrential downpour for the first time. Passenger footwell was wet afterwards.

One thing i did to improve after switching to the 2002+ style is pull out the rubber insert that gives you a good bit more room and it doesn't bother me any apperance wise


Just purchased our 2003 SLE and we couldn't fit a large tumbler in. Didn't realize there was an insert!!! Thanks!!!! :banana ...
