That may be the issue. I too have put used wheel bearings on my car before as I couldn't afford a new one. I was lucky and the used one was good. Sometimes you don't get that lucky though.

I have upgraded mine and use them nightly, they work especially well considering i have smoke colored headlight covers and very seldomly have to remove them. I have had them upgraded on every vehicle except the 04 Grand Prix and never have been flashed nor have ever had any problems.
