Re: Odd noise on acceleration

Not a huge fan of auto either, kicks in when you least expect it and sounds like it is going to break something.

Re: Odd noise on acceleration

Do you have the push button four wheel drive with the auto function? If I put mine in auto it feels like it is dragging because it pre-loads the clutches for the transfer case. I know they have had issues with the mechanism that engages the front wheels. Try switching the buttons the next time you ...

Re: Back into a truck....05 Tahoe LT

I got this:
http://www.amazon.com/Isimple-Isgm575-Auxiliary-Interface-Vehicles/dp/B00455RAD6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1323380955&sr=8-1

Head unit will control ipods and iPhones, it also retains all factory features.

Super easy to install, I ran it down into my cupholder like this:

Re: Back into a truck....05 Tahoe LT

Not to hate on your nice new Tahoe. But, why not a pick up truck?

But why SHOULD I get a p/u?

Ive always been a fan of fullsize SUVs, had an '81 K5, and a '94 2dr Yukon.

P/Us have always felt light in the back end to me, obviously cause of the bed. With this I can go back to using my ...

Re: Back into a truck....05 Tahoe LT

Hmm... didn't know they put traction control in the trucks. I would think with a 4wd truck it wouldn't be needed. Must of been something they put in in 05, my 04 doesn't have it. My parents also had an 05 tahoe almost identical to that one and I dont remember it having traction control but I ...

Re: Back into a truck....05 Tahoe LT

I like the quad seating, never seen it before in a tahoe. What is in the space next to the climate controls under neath the vent? My avalanche has a cubby whole there, it looks like they put in a panel for a button.

Re: Sporatic clunk on 04 Avalanche.

I have had the driveline clunk noise ever since I got the truck, even after they greased splines when they installed new U-Joints. I also have the G80 locking rear end and have grown accustomed to noises from both of these systems. From the best way I can describe the noise is that it sounds like ...

Sporatic clunk on 04 Avalanche.

Hoping that somebody else has some input or experience with this but basically here are my symptons.

My truck is an 04 z71 and lately I have been getting a sporatic clunk at right around 55mph. It doesn't happen all the time and the intensity of the clunk is different each time I hear it. It seems ...

Re: Tinted windows in Minnesota

From what I have read, anyone doing window tint in MN can't have their clients sign a waiver. Anyone who applies illegal tint will also be in trouble. They changed it a little while back I believe. Some info: https://www.revisor.mn.gov/laws/?id=235 ... &year=2008

I would see if you could find one of these. Sorry, on my phone so you will have to copy and paste. Re: Ugh. Got a BS ticket for speeding in an illinois work zone

When I had to go to court for my ticket, the state had to prove that I was speeding. I didn't have to prove I wasn't but it could be a Minnesota thing, although you will probably have to comment on it and tell them your side of the story.

Is the one truck sagging in the middle in the last couple of pictures? Just an observation. Might be the way it's sitting.

Out of curiosity, can't you get the salvaged title cleared? I thought you could in Minnesota as long as it passes tests or something.

Re: Speeding Ticket!

35e going south to school every day, the flow is about 10-15 over in the left lane.. 5-10 over in the right. lol

Every time I drive that rode it's usually a dead stop. Not cool. That 45 mph zone sucks too. I usually do right around the speed limit there too and everyone whizzes past me at ten ...
