Re: Stalling Problem
Ok so update on the situation. Car still doesn't run. I have replaced the IAC valve, the TPS, and cleaned the MAF sensor and the throttle body. I have swapped out the coil packs and the ICM. I have installed a new fuel pump, fuel filter, and fuel pressure regulator, and I also changed the crankshaft ...

Re: Stalling Problem
Is there a test for the fuel pump control module? Or a way to tell if it specifically is what is wrong with the car?

Re: Stalling Problem
PS - Got gas?
Sounds stupid but it's easy to do..
Yeah - you almost hate to ask but it happens. It's also possible that the gas gauge is getting flakey & showing more gas than is actually in the tank. If there's any doubt add a couple gallons & make sure.
I thought the same thing. When I had ...

Re: Stalling Problem
The fuel pump is brand new. Replaced it this past weekend. Fuel comes out of the rail telling me there is pressure there.00Beast wrote:Then your fuel pump is dead.

No difference with the MAF plugged in or not plugged in.Archon wrote:Try disconnecting the connector to the MAF and see what it does. What happens with the fuel pressure when it dies?

Re: Stalling Problem
Spoke with my mechanic, he got it running on throttle body cleaner, so since it runs on that we're thinking it's a fuel problem. Going to change out the fuel filter and check the local scrap yard for a pump.

Re: Stalling Problem
Took the ICM off, got one from the scrap yard, took them both to autozone and had them tested, both tested good. I'm guessing this eliminates the ICM from it, planning on changing the CPS this weekend unless anyone has any better ideas?

Re: Stalling Problem
This sounds just like the same symptoms I experienced on both of my Bonneville when the ICM went. I have heard that advance auto/autozone can test the ICM but I may be wrong. (I may be wrong on their ability to test them.) I would always just swap parts between my to Bonnevilles to locate the ...

Re: Stalling Problem
It could be either one. There have been more reported CPS problems, than ICMs. Does it start right back up? Have anyone that you can swap ICMs with?
It starts right back up, but it takes it a few seconds of cranking to fire. I've replaced the CPS before, and remember having to come to a stop in ...

Yes with aftermarket. Plan to replace it with hockey pucks this weekend. Will see if that fixes it. Thanks.
