Stalls sometimes when going from reverse to drive, ect

Anyone have any advise on what to look into??

Would this be something sensor related or mechanical?
maybe dropping the transaxle pan for a new filter and fresh atf?

I haven't owned many automatics.. but I stall em like its a 5 speed manual ;)

Re: Check engine light

No, you'll need the mounting bracket from a 92-93 Series I with the Delco setup.

S2 = Series II; 96-03 Supercharged, 95-03 N/A.

It could be. The problem with the old OBD I setup is that the codes are extremely vague.

Are there any ways to identify the brackets visually?

I have coil packs ...

Re: Check engine light

The ICM and coils from the LeSabre should work, but you'll need the older bracket, from what I can tell. If you can find a supercharged car with blue tabs on the bottom of the coils (any S2 S/C), they have the best spark of any 3800 coil.
Dont I already have the old bracket?

S2?

Is it likely the ...

Re: Check engine light

Yes the car will run with the cam sensor unplugged.. Might not run very good but it will run... The cam sensor is strictly for the ECM to see #1 TDC... The ECM then makes the SFI calculations...

For everyone... I know all the Books say MFI .... All 3800 engine made are all SFI regardless of what ...

Re: Check engine light

and 9 times out of 10, its usually something super simple or dumb.. lol :)

Re: Check engine light

Here's what I did today..

Removed the new Autozone camshaft position sensor, replaced it with the original one..
I saw no contact marks on the camshaft sensor.. (used a little grease on the magnet)

no change..

then I left the sensor unplugged, fired it up..

no change..

The new camshaft ...

Re: Check engine light

if the camshaft is walking, there's nothing more I can you do it other than a complete rebuild..

can't really do anything other than spacing the sensor out a few mm's..

so with a code 41, I replaced everything involved with a code 41..
unless I got a bad outer can sensor

Water pump on 89? Is it as simple as it looks?

I'm in the process of messing with that cam interrupter replacement so it'll run again and while using the mirror, I noticed the water pump leaking from its weap hole.

Is this just as simple as it looks, undo all the bolts that are in plain sight and pop it off? :dontknow:
thanks..
