Re: Assembled by monkeys?
The ignition switch could be bad or simply need adjustment. Is there power to the accessories before and after cycling to start?

No, you didn't offend me, I wasn't trying to offend you either
. I never tried wiring to the ignition module, just went straight to the tach guage so I can't verify the difference for you, sorry.

Re: remote start
No the whole dash doesn't need to come out, just the trim and the cluster if I recall correctly. You do it however you like, I was just giving you other options.

Re: remote start
The hood pin grounds out when the hood is opened, yes, but if the hood pin wire isn't connected to the switch the remote start will think the hood is closed. For safety of yourself and others this wire really needs to be connected.

Re: Should I just paint or sand, prime and paint?
Primer isn't always necessary. A light sanding with wet 400 grit sandpaper would have been ideal providing that the mirror wasn't pitted from stone chips etc. If it was faded and non-glossy before you painted it you're probably OK but if it still had a glossy finish there's a good chance that will ...

Re: Subwoofer questions/opinions
Looking good. If you're not too crazy of a driver velcro attached to the underside of the box will help secure it in position, otherwise bungee cords or ratchet straps are a more secure method but not as aesthetically pleasing.

Are you keeping the 8's in there then putting the stock amp back in to power them as well as running the new amp powering an enclosed 10?

Re: P 0300 Code - clicking arc sound from coil pack
Electricity is lazy, it will find the easiest way to ground which can very well be through the insulation of the wire. The wires shouldn't be touching any grounded metal or each other if possible. When was the last time you had the spark plugs out? They probably need to be replaced.

I totally agree, it's not worth while, unless there's some kind of self gratification to be had it can't be stressed enough to avoid swapping anything and to just find a car with what you want.

... But it would be far easier to buy a stock supercharged car.
The best way to do it is sell the car and buy a supercharged model.
Or if you want to avoid actually swapping anything and he can swing it, just get buy a Monte that has a factory supercharger.
Not sure if anyone else has ...

Personally I don't think the IROC rims suit the second gen S10 like they do on the first gen, but what about the factory S10 SS rims, they are the same size as the IROC rims but they suit the truck better IMO.

Re: aftermarket HU & stock amp/wiring/speakers
The factory rear speakers (6X9) are essentially a dual voice coil design, meaning there are 2 inputs per 1 speaker. As of right now, without the factory amp enabled, only one of the inputs (primary voice coil) is getting a signal. When you get the amp powered up it will sample the outputs of the ...

Re: Got the Need. The Need for Speed!
So to get this straight, you need this mod to run a smaller than stock SC pulley but not necessarily for the stock pulley, correct? Would there be enough clearance for the belt if you left the bar installed but removed just the pulley from it to run a stock SC pulley and belt configuration?

Re: Got the Need. The Need for Speed!
Not being too familiar with pulley-ing, does that mod just help take up the slack in the belt or does it help wrap the belt around the superchargers pulley a little more to increase contact area?
