Re: A little intro!

:beerchug: Thanks for the info brownsshll, but I fixed that problem some time back now. Bad ground to my fuel pump...that was fun to troubleshoot.

Re: A few quirks with '95 N/A

Sorry I haven't gotten a schematic up here for your door locks...but I'm having trouble getting a picture put up here. I have to get some type of public thing like photobucket or something like that to hold the photos...then link to it. I'll try to get it done soon...

I actually hope you solved ...

Re: How To Replace the Center Brake Light?

I'm glad it was that easy! I hadn't had to replace mine before so I didn't know if there was some trick to it until I had time to look at it myself.

Re: sparkplug heat range

The NGK "5" is one step colder than the Champion "14". As far as what differences you will "notice"...could be none, but could also cause "fouled" plugs. The "colder" a plug rating the faster it can dissipate the heat generated by the firing of the plug, which by itself sounds great - right! Wrong ...

Re: blinkers not workin

Check the "flasher" that's located under the dash board...

As far as the link between the lights not flashing and the return not working on the signal arm...not positive, but the turn arm should just be sending the signal to the lights through the turn "flasher"...the "flasher" is what makes the ...

Your right :bstooges: , checking the battery cables and ground connections should always be the first thing checked on these cars!

Re: A few quirks with '95 N/A

It sounds like you might be going in the right direction with the shift position. Part of the starting circuit is that the shift selector must be in the Park or Neutral position. Might be why the scan tool is going nuts once its running.

As far as the door locks, I will try to put something up here ...

Nice!!! =D> I've never been a "Ford" fan as a whole, but this is a nice car...good job on it!

I have to agree with the Starsky & Hutch paint scheme...I watched that show strictly for the car!

Re: 1997 volkswagen jetta start problem

Try to get ahold of the schematic for your starting circuit...you either have a fuse/relay that is bad or an ignition switch issue. Not familiar with Volkswagons, but this is a good bet!

I concur! The battery cables and ground connections seem to be a large majority of electrical problem culprits...always the first place to look!

Re: 93 bonneville sse supercharged dash cluster problems?

My 95 had the same problem. I had gone through the fuses and found that they all had corrosion on them and in the connectors. I cleaned all the fuses and connectors the best I could and the cluster worked for a couple of days and then stopped again. That gave me the idea that I probably had the same ...

Success!

Found the ground connection for the fuel pump was slightly loose...tightened it up and wah-lah it started humming.

Just strange coincidence that it gave me problems right after I finished another repair...crazy how things work!
