Help please
ok, my amp gets power, but i get no subs, when i plug in the remote they make a noise then do nothing, is it a bad ground? And if so, whats the best place to mount the ground if its 2.5' long and it hooks into the amp right by the left trunk arm, thanks for any feedback

Re: help please!
i replaced the air filter not to long ago, it would be a blockage between the filter and the MAF correct? If so thats been checked, and is this something i can get from a junkyard or should i buy new?

Honestly... idk, I didn't buy them new, and the person I bought em from didn't know, anyway to tell on the subs themselves?

Re: Did I fry my amp? or is it just a fuse?
Haha, that would have sucked! Although, I have enough common sense to not ground something to itself... cuz that'd just cause a short. Well I found a bolt in the back right of the trunk that might work, but I'm thinking I might try and get a little bit longer of a ground and just go right to the ...

Re: Did I fry my amp? or is it just a fuse?
What's the easiest way to reach them? from the back seat or from the trunk? I'm gonna assume backseat but just wanna make sure.

Re: Did I fry my amp? or is it just a fuse?
Sorry i meant the amp, not the subs. Ok so basically drill a hole, get some washers, a bolt, and a nut and bolt it through the trunk?

Re: A few opinions needed
I've been thinking, and I'm gonna get a better single channel amp and hook it up to see if that will help, I've got Eclipse subs with an eclipse 2 channel amp, which is where my problem is, it's too weak to power the two subs, so i think it's time for an upgrade, any suggestions as to amps?

Re: Did I fry my amp? or is it just a fuse?
I found the problem, I had a bad ground... so now the question is, where do you all ground your subs? i'd rather not solder or weld anything if I don't have to, and pics would be appreciated if needed, thanks guys for your help so far!

Re: A few opinions needed
Well, I bought it as a set, the subs and the amp mounted on the box, so I can't complain, but I need an upgrade for sure, I'm hoping I didn't fry it though =\

I tightened it nice and snug before I connected it to the battery, I almost stripped the screws I tightened it so much =\.

Re: A few opinions needed
That was another idea I had, getting 2 single channel amps and powering the subs with one, and the 6x9s with the other, the amp I have now for the subs is a 2channel amp, which frankly, it sucks and doesn't push enough wattage to put my subs to their full use.

Did I fry my amp? or is it just a fuse?
Well last night I was re installing my subs in my trunk after fixing my shock mount, and I accidentally touched the ground and the power wires together creating a spark... and now my amp isn't getting power. (which makes no sense because the wires weren't connected to the amp at all, so that makes ...

I could, but then I would have to get rid of what I have now, idk, it was just a thought, one I'd probably never act on, lol.
