Re: Transmission Overdrive?

My daughter's 97 SE has been doing the exact same thing since i bought it in 2006. Fine when cold, starts fluctuating when warmed up....eventually the ECM cancels the TCC lockup sets code and then it runs normal...just a few RPM's above what it should be when locked up...tranny fluid is still red ...

Unfortunately . . I only have liability insurance so it won't be covered . . But I still did make a police report on it.

Get "Comprehensive Coverage" (damage other than collision) on your policy ASAP!!! :poke: It is one of the cheapest parts of your insurance....CHEAP!!! and it covers most ...

Re: What did you do to your car today?

Wasn't today, but last Sunday I had to put on another front tranny mount (3rd one), and new plugs (NGK TR55GP) and new wires, and rotated tires on my Bonnie. Also had to put a new A/C blower motor/fan on my daughter's Bonnie...bearings were going and it was squealing all the time...interfering with ...

I have also bought another one to go in my 85 X-11...will be putting that in when it warms up.

I have the Avital 4300 on my daughter's 97 SE

I highly recomend them... and installation is not that difficult...but if you're not a wiring ...

Re: Broken dreams and moonroof

This is why I advise everyone to carry Comprehensive Coverage with $0 deductable on your auto insurance. Its very cheap as far as insurance goes! Then you just call up your local glass shop and they come and fix it at your place...and you pay nothing.
