Re: Supercharger snout leak?

Yes. Oil level is lower that when I checked it before. I checked it about two weeks before I noticed the leak. It's lower than before but still seems like an adequate amount. No unusual noises I would expect to hear if the oil was too low.

Supercharger snout leak?

Hello everyone.
I've got a 2000 SSEi. Had it for about 7 months and put roughly 11,000 miles on it so far. Had no leaks and runs great. Yesterday I opened the hood to check the fluids and noticed oil slung on the inside of the engine bay but only up front PAST THE BELTS. Noticed the supercharger ...

Re: Is supercharger operating correctly?

Well it will point to 10psi briefly under load at full throttle. But then will drop when I let off the throttle.

Re: Is supercharger operating correctly?

Well I didn't check it with a real gauge I'm only going by the factory boost gauge on the dash. Just wanted to make sure everything was normal since I didn't hear anything anymore. Read on a previous post that air temp and density have a lot to do with it as well.

Re: Is supercharger operating correctly?

I did see a lot of people saying the aftermarket intakes make the supercharger more noticeable. I guess I'll find out soon. Was thinking about getting the stage II kit from zzp performance that includes the new air box.

Is supercharger operating correctly?

Hay guys! Got a lot of great help so far with problems on my recently purchased 2000 Bonneville SSEI.
Not sure if I have a problem or not so need some feedback. This is my first factory supercharged car. Had some minor issues that were traced back to vacuum leaks. Stopped at the local GM dealer and ...

Re: Smithw500 here. Hello to everyone!

Thanks guys! I ohmed out the new Napa wires I got and one had way more resistance than the others. I got a set of AC delco wires and the dead miss went away. Still does idle a little rough. I already bought a bunch of vacuum Ts and line, so I'll replace em all and see what happens. I'll also get a ...

Smithw500 here. Hello to everyone!

Hi everyone. Smithw500 the new guy here.
Bought a 97 Bonneville SE about a year ago and love it. Just last week found a 2000 Bonneville SSEI with 44,000 original miles on it so I had to buy it. Found that it has all the typical problems from what I've read so far. Saggy headliner (new one ordered ...
