Re: code p0300 missfire cyl#4
Thanks will, u're right, sorry for the messup. I meant cyl1 for the hydrolock but the scanner gave me #4 so I'll do the checks you said the first time around-at the real #4-.

Re: code p0300 missfire cyl#4
WOW, thanks for the quick reply and the wealth of info!
Just to clarify, the cyl I'm talking about (thought #4, may be wrong) is front bank extreme left as you open the hood- towards the bumper and towards the belt(s)-
this is where I saw hydrolok on a non-s/c series II bonne.
Ok, I'm talking ...

code p0300 missfire cyl#4
Hello,
I got this code (1995 riviera s/c vin 1) and using the scanner I got cyl#4 misfire. I noticed that if I bring the rpm's up to 1500rpm for a while and let go, the cyl will misfire, otherwise not-idle only-. then I revved a little more 2000rp and let go, it did not misfire again

Thanks for the reply!
Do you know if they machined the valve body to install an oversize valve, or just drop-in replacement?
Thanks

4T60-E dropping out from 4th when hot issue (code p0740)
Hello,
I'm new here. My car, '95 riv s/c 160k miles (4T60-E) has the dropping out from 4th when hot issue (code p0740).
I was thinking to install an aux tranny cooler hoping it will temporary fix the issue.
Any recommandation on what brand(B&M, Tru Cool) and GVW rating would be appreciated. Also ...

Re: Illustrated 4T65E Rebuild
Thanks for the reply.
According to the service manual it's under the side cover.
U're right, I should move the thread.
back on the topic of your rebuild, can you list the special tools you needed for this rebuild?
In my service manual there is a huge bunch of them... scary...
thx!

Hi from Montreal
Hi,
Although I always loved the bonnevilles (mostly the early '90's and 2000) always ended up w/buicks! My first buick was a '91 park ave ultra (non s/c) and now I have a '95 riv s/c. My next car may be a 2000 bonne.
My other car is a '89 trans am gta 350.
I also have a bike, '98 klr 650.
Thanks,
J
