Re: Major props to Will from Overkill Motorsports!

Here's a pic. Apologies for not-fantastic resolution, I don't have a camera other than my phone right now. Also, the IAT sensor is unplugged because after adjusting the intake to make it fit better, the wire doesn't reach. I'm putting an extension on there tomorrow so I can hook it back up.

Re: Good bye GXP, Hellloowww GTO

Not gonna argue with you on that! I know you know your *shoot*, probably way better than I do. I still prefer the '05-'06 version, but no accounting for taste, right?

Re: Good bye GXP, Hellloowww GTO

Isn't it a different engine though? '04 has 5.7L 350HP LS1 and '05-'06 has 6.0L LS2 with 400HP?

Re: Good bye GXP, Hellloowww GTO

Nothing's wrong with it, I'd just rather have an LS2 than an LS1. I like the hood scoop better too. I mean, don't get me wrong, the '04 is cool too, I just like the other ones better.

Re: Good bye GXP, Hellloowww GTO

That's one hell of a car. When my SSEi bites the dust, I'm hoping to replace it with an 05-06 GTO or a G8 GXP also. Gotta love those Holdens.

Major props to Will from Overkill Motorsports!

So a couple months ago, I ordered an ASI short ram intake kit for my SSEi from Overkill Motorsports. Turns out, I had somehow gotten onto an old version of the website and they hadn't stocked that kit for quite some time. However, instead of just telling me I was SOL and refunding my money, Will ...

Re: What did you do to your car today?

Ripped out the stock airbox and put in an Overkill SRI. Feels like the throttle response is a bit better and it's a bit louder, but not much else, which is just about what I expected. Looking at maybe installing a ZZP downpipe and 1.9 rocker arms next, and then dropping another pulley size on the SC.

Re: Weird dash light problems

Yeah, felt pretty dumb after checking all the fuses, looking at the wiring, and testing sensors and realizing I hadn't tried turning that *dang* knob.

Re: Weird dash light problems

Looks like it was a case of "problem exists between steering wheel and seat". Somehow the dash light brightness was reset and I failed to realize that the headlight switch turns to adjust the brightness. I knew that the twilight sentinel knob did that, but not the headlight switch. Thanks for the ...

Weird dash light problems *SOLVED*

For some reason my dash lights are behaving weirdly. My car is a 1997 SSEi. This problem showed up after I switched from a failing Les Schwab Xtreme Power battery to an Optima Yellow Top. The car has a light sensor and automatic headlights. When it's light out, everything behaves normally, but when ...

Re: What did you do to your car today?

I need to do that one of these days, there's some crud in there that the regular vacuuming isn't getting out. What I did do this weekend was change the oil, replace one of the battery terminal bolts that was giving me trouble, and touch up some scratches and dents on the front bumper. Looking and ...

Pretty cool to see a Bonne owner from across the pond, and a fairly classic one at that.

Re: What did you do to your car today?

Finally buckled down and figured out why my KR readings were so wacky on my Scangauge. Turns out that I had accidentally programmed it to display time since engine start instead of KR. Took it out to test out the scangauge settings, compared the KR reading with the ignition timing to make sure it ...

Replacing front wheel bearing assembly

Sometime in the next few months I'm going to have to replace at least one if not both of the front bearing hub assemblies on my 1997 SSEi. They're okay for now but they're a bit worn. I'm trying to find the best ones in my price range; ACDelco is probably a bit expensive for me but I think I can ...

Re: Bizzare things ive seen people say when selling a bonnev

I saw a listing titled "SUPER RARE MUSCLE CAR!" that had almost no information in it. Further inspection revealed it was a 1995 SE.

Re: Good brands of touch-up paint/kits?

Luckily most if not all of the chips and scratches are either on plastic parts or only down to the primer. Zero body rust on the car. I'll see if I can find the paint code; almost all of the labels and things are still there. The window tag from the dealer in 1997 is still folded up in the glovebox ...

Good brands of touch-up paint/kits?

I'm looking to touch up a couple spots on my car. Overall the paint is in great condition but there are some small pits and scratches I'd like to take care of. What do you guys recommend for something small like that? I've seen a lot of stuff about repainting the whole car but I was wondering if ...
