Re: Fuel Gauge Issues

Not to hijack this thread, but I've replaced the entire pump assembly on my 04 and I still get the erratic levels (sometimes full, empty, half full, quarter full etc) it also looks like the needle in the cluster struggles to move. And it also does not go the entire length of the dial (from empty to ...

Re: Replaced fuel level sender, but no luck with dash gauge

OP:
I had the same problem two times and it was the gauge itself both times. The first time I replaced the cluster. The second time I had the entire cluster rebuilt. I like the cluster rebuilt option the best. The service replaced all the motors and lights in the cluster.

FWIW the SLE cluster is ...

Actually it is kind of easy when your vehicle is garage kept. I have found that parking your vehicle in a garage really allows the paint and interior parts to last a long time. If you have a parking garage at work that would be a huge plus as well.

Ryan:
I just did my Tacoma with a Rupes using microfiber pads, also Rupes, and wow talk about quick removal of swirls and paint defects.

Pick of the tailgate after a well meaning parishioner put a wheelbarrow under the tailgate so mulch would not fall on the ground.

Re: Glass spots

I used to think Steel wool was ok but really it is not the best thing to use for water spots. These two products will clean the exterior glass really well and leave the glass protected for 2 to 3 months.

Andrew:
Thank you for the quick shipping on the front left headlight for my 2004 Bonneville. The part was packaged so well that even UPS could not break it. The light foam wrapping covered with tape protected the part extra well. Andrew even cleaned up the headlamp prior to shipping.

Re: Meguires wax for white cars only

I believe back in '09 when Ryan buffed my Bonneville, he used the Souveran paste wax on it. That thing shined for months. I haven't used it since. I might have to pick a liquid bottle down the road to try it. Maybe layer it on top of both the white (G8) and black (Bonneville) waxes for extra ...

Got it. I'm a big chicken when it comes to messing with paint, so until I get "adult supervision", I'll continue to fill in the scratches, lol - BC

I agree with Ryan. Go to a JY amd pick up any car fender or hood, the less expensive the better, and use the PC with a polishing compound on the car ...

Re: Best Budget Buffer/Polisher

Not a bad initial purchase. Add an orange, yellow and blue pad and you are set for the polisher and pads.

Once you add the Menzerna polishes, a sealant, and a wax you are in the $250 price range.

You can save some with the Menzerna SI ...

Re: New Wax dodo juice!

I purchased a container of the Dodo Juice Purple Haze last year and like it a lot. Very easy on and easy off. Leaves an astounding finish that protects well. I use it on my black Tacoma. I actually put a coat on last week when the temp hit 58 degres with no problems.

I use Meguiars ULTIMATE products and if necessary, I am also a fan of the Professional Meguiars line.
As for wax, on my own cars I use Pinnacle Souveran, Liquid or paste depending on colour. Anything else, with some exceptions, gets Ultimate liquid or paste.
