Re: Someone on here?

Yes, I'm on here. I've been away quite a bit for work but still lurk. I love the car but I'm traveling a lot right now and it's parked at my parents because I have no place to store it. I don't want it to get neglected so I'd rather it go to a good home. Price is negotiable but like others have said ...

Re: New toy - 2016 Wrangler Unlimited Black Bear

Nice!!!! Those things are screaming for a lift...

Oh it will, my brother just sent me a leveling kit for now, as soon as the tires get a little warn, it'll get taller.

Sweet! My buddy just got a 2-door version. They've gotten much nicer in recent years.

Yeah, my brother in law has an 07, my ...

Re: Buying a 2005 GXP tomorrow... how scared should I be?

The head gaskets appear to go both with mileage and with age, it is a question of when, not if. There are no proactive actions to prevent the head gasket issue. If you buy a GXP, have 4k in the bank and hope that is enough to perform the repair, and hope you have a qualified person in your area to ...

New toy - 2016 Wrangler Unlimited Black Bear

Sooo... I'm selling the GXP because I don't have room to store it. It's not a good car to drive around in a Michigan winter anyway. (This winter hasn't really been much of a winter though, I guess. Knock on wood)

I picked myself up a year-round toy this time. It's a 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited ...

Re: Fog Lights?

For those of you who installed aftermarket HID systems in your fog lights, did you just leave the caps off? The bulbs I have looked at on different makes, all have two wires coming out the end, which would prevent the caps from going back on.
Yes, they're off and have been off for almost a year ...

They should do the same recall for the GXPs too! That *dang* oil cooler line always leaks!! I've replaced it and the new one is doing the same!!! Sick of it!

Re: Aztek HUD and the 2000+ Bonneville.

I love these research threads. Its so cool to figure out what was available and what can be made to work.

Not something i suspect youd be into with your dedication to factory seamless mods, but one thought ive had would be to gut the hud and basically make a cradle in place of the display to hold ...

Re: Strange Clacking Noise From Passenger Side Dash

I get a VERY similar sound but only at lower speeds, like 30-45mph. It doesn't happen all of the time and it doesn't seem to be affected by the HVAC settings at all... I'm curious to find out what your culprit is.

Thanks everyone!! Luckily it was just the nut. It was almost completely off!!! How it got like that, I dunno, but everything works fine now.

Hope everyone is having fun at the meet, it's not looking like I'll make it. I'd like to though, I need to hook up to a tech 2 b/c of a stability control ...

Re: Frost! ...and a broken wiper.

Still up in the air on tomorrow, I'm dog sitting for a buddy who will be in Florida picking up a new log truck. Depending on the extent of damage to the spline, I may take you up on that though. Do you know the color of the interior? I need a tan console lid, maybe I can kill two birds with one ...

If it is indeed stripped, what are my options? Rock auto doesn't list the spindle, is it something I could easily pull from a car at the local yard or is it the entire assembly?

Awesome! I hope that's all it is. I'll check it right when I get home.

Frost! ...and a broken wiper.

So before I give my spiel, I DID read the common problems thread as well as the wiper module thread... This is different.

This morning I remote started my car, almost 10 mins later came out to a still foggy(or so I thought) windshield. I hit the sprayer button to try to speed up the process and lo ...

I've read through this long thread, and didn't see anyone trying LED fog lights. Has anyone tried this? It would seem to eliminate the issues with heat generation and short bulb life. Anybody have any thoughts on this?

I've tried several different methods to make this work and TONS of harnesses from theRetrofitsource.com to no avail. If you are successful in making your dims stay on please make a write up! Hell, I'll even buy the harness from you if it works!!

I think the color match with the polished lip fit that generation nicely. I wouldn't do it on a newer one, but on that, it's cool.
