supercharger problem

I believe the supercharger in my 94 SSEi is ready to die. All of a sudden started to make loud bearing noises at idle. Trying to get in to my mechanic to have him check it out. I've seen rebuilt units for $450 with core online. Any idea about cost of installation?? Car has 64k miles.

Re: Steering wheel radio controls

Thanks harofreak00.

This type of work is way above my head!!!!

I will get the CD to work (hopefully) and have to live with the dash controls it seems!

Re: Smoker's car

ga93sle . . . I've heard about those, thanks much!

Am trying some of the less radical cures first, but may have to resort to something like this!

Re: Steering wheel radio controls

Thanks MattStrike . . . this is original equipment . . . the owner had the window sticker showing it, and it's a delco unit, and never been replace. I think the CD and the controls are two separate issue. Thanks again for you knowledge!

Re: Smoker's car

Thanks 00Beast…I've heard magic eraser is good for a lot of detailing things! I just removed the ash tray, cleaned the heck out of it, and found more ashes below in the compartment where it sits, so it got vacuumed and washed out. The whole inside smells better just because of that little bit of ...

Re: Smoker's car

Thanks 1oldman . . . boy, I sure hope I don't have to replace my headliner. It looks really good, but I realize that a lot of the smoke odor has to be in it. I replaced the headliner in a 1930 Model A Ford when I restored it (tacks into wooden bows) and it came out great, but I don't think I could ...

Re: Smoker's car

Thanks crash93ssei...great advice. I'm afraid of being too aggressive on the headliner, especially with a vacuum, because they are just cloth glued to a backing, correct? Don't want to pull it down! Maybe I'll experiment on my old Monte Carlo that will be up for sale soon. Thank you again!

Smoker's car

Anybody have any suggestions about how to get cigarette smoke odor out of the interior (leather) of a 94 SSEi. Just bought this car, and it looks very clean inside and out. I'm afraid to do too much to the headliner, which probably has the most odor in it since smoke rises! Other than a good overall ...

Steering wheel radio controls

This is my second post to this great forum. Just bought a 94 SSEi. Already solved one problem with help from the forum, so here's a couple more: the steering wheel radio controls do not work, just the ones on the dash. Could there be a fuse for this, or is it in the steering column? Also, can't play ...

Blower Motor

I'm brand new to this forum, so please bear with me. Just bought a 94 SSEi yesterday (44k actual miles), but it has some issues! I knew when I bought it the AC didn't work and will require a major fix, but turning on the heater, a new problem popped up. I started out as mentioned in the owner's ...
