Question about alternator/serpentine belt

So it's been pretty wet in north east Ohio the past week and I noticed my Bonneville started acting a little weird. After driving through a puddle and then coming to a stop, my serpentine belt starts squealing pretty bad and my volts will drop like it's not charging anymore. If I turn the car off ...

Re: Hard stumble/stutter and stalling

I know this thread is dead but I figure I'd post my solution for anyone that has similar problems and can't figure it out.

My problem had disappeared for a couple month's and then the day after christmas I went to leave work and my car wouldn't stay running, stumble and stall out almost ...

Re: Hard stumble/stutter and stalling

Alright, Sorry it took so long to reply back.

So I checked all my connections and everything is good, I've checked and double checked. I took it to my mechanic and he ran a scan tool to see if he could find anything. I had a code for the crank sensor and a couple of ignition codes (he said that ...

Re: Hard stumble/stutter and stalling

Alright, so I took some time and thoroughly cleaned the battery terminals and connectors, the positive was pretty bad after checking closely. I checked the connections under the hood and to the alternator and they all look reasonably fine. I'll have to see if it acts up here in the next couple days ...

Re: Hard stumble/stutter and stalling

Alright, I'll check all the electrical connections when I get off work in the morning. Working midnights makes it hard to fit sleep, car troubles, and running errands into one day.

Also, there was a bit of corrosion when I changed the battery so I'll definitely try to clean it up even better.

Re: Hard stumble/stutter and stalling

Tried that already, should have included that in the original post. My bad.

Hard stumble/stutter and stalling

Welp, I don't know where to start. I replaced my battery about a month ago since the old one was about 10 years old and it was getting weak. Living in Ohio, I figured I better replace it now before it left me stranded in the cold. Well, about a week or two after having that done, my car developed a ...

Re: AC compressor Removal help

In addition to the other bolts mentioned, you should have the refrigerant evacuated from the system.
If you don't, you can get hurt when you try to remove the manifold hose assembly from the compressor.
It's also illegal to discharge refrigerants into the air.

If only the pulley bearing seized ...

AC compressor Removal help

I'm trying to replace the compressor on my 2000 se with the delete pulley but I can't seem to get the compressor off. I removed the 3 bolts holding it on and the electrical connections but it's not budging, am I missing something?

New Bonneville Lover!

Hey, my name's Josh and I got my awesome Bonneville SE last August after my grandmother had some medical problems and couldn't drive it anymore. She was the first and only owner. I got it with 89,000 miles and now it has 103,000. Its mechanically sound and pretty much no rust (except some bubbles by ...

Colored interior lighting

I've been trying to find a switched fuse to use to light aftermarket interior LEDs. If anyone could help, it'd be really helpful.
