Transgo do you scuff or not scuff accumulator walls?
I've never installed a Transgo kit but now must.
Is it worth the bother to scuff the walls of the accumulator?
Is it better to just replace the pistons?
Hoping that Harofreak00 will offer his input.

Re: Best glue for Cardboard above headliner??
Thanks Haro and 95naSTA.
I'll probably figure something out to tack the dangling portions back up just to avoid possible cardboard scraping sounds above my head when hitting bumps.
The roads around here are poorly maintained, so bumps are ubiquitous.

Re: Best glue for Cardboard above headliner??
Thanks, but I'm already replacing the headliner.
This is the cardboard that's affixed inside the roof on non-sunroof models.
Kind of shocking to find cardboard glued to the roof but it is that way from the factory.

Best glue for Cardboard above headliner??
What is best product to reglue/readhere the cardboard to the inside of the roof of my non-sunroofed SE.
It has come off in a number of spots and hangs down, now that the headliner is off for refurbishing.
Was thinking this 3m urethane seam sealer could work:

The doors seal at 2 points; inside the door itself with plastic sheeting and again at the rubber seals which surround the door.
When the water seeps inside, it often runs down a weld (behind the plastic trim) and under the carpet.

Can this be swapped without disconnecting the battery?
I want to install a new instrument panel and would rather not disconnect the battery, since it's due for an inspection and I don't want to delay while all the I/M monitors , etc. reset and run.
Is there a serious risk of damaging things if I don't disconnect the battery first?
Thanks, in advance.

Thank you.
Any advice on brands of trans jacks to avoid or to buy?
I can't see my regular jack working to hoist the trans into place.

These should be just snug, not even tight.
I'd suspect the coil or ICM.
Thank you.
I had suspected these; replaced all 3 coils and the ICM with OE parts but the problem persists.

I would like to tighten some connections at the ICM and the ECU (not even sure any are actually loose)but don't know how to go about doing so.

OD had gone out on the 2001 at 114K.
I'm hoping to luck out on the 2000 trans, that the forward band lasts. I understand that there was a defective batch of forward bands

Re: Can I use a 2003 or 2000 SSEI trans in2001 SSEI
That's great news! Thanks!
I had thought that the 2000 trans would require the computer to be changed.
I'm debating replacing the 4th gear clutch shaft, since it's easier with the trans out.
Is the GM hardened steel replacement the only worthwhile one to use?
Thanks again.

Looking to use a 2003 or 2000 transmission in my 2001 SSEI, whose forward band broke.

Help! Can't get radiator out 2001 SSEi
Everything that I know to remove is off;
I've got the fans off, hoses and trans lines disconnected ( and their brackets off). Unbolted the condenser and pulled it up off the radiator.
There just doesn't seem to be any way to wiggle the radiator past the metal brackets that the rubber radiator ...

Re: HELP...PLEASE Old fittings to new 1/4" line--can it be
Sorry for the late reply.
Changing the MC lines was easy enough. In road salt states, soaking the line ends with Kroil is helpful.
Actually needed to cut one line and tap a socket on it to get it removed.
The problem with all the aftermarket lines that I've seen for the master cylinder is that ...
