Re: Misfiring this morning (Vid Added 4/27)

Does the PCM register misfire on all cylinders individually or just between the two banks? I'm just curious and it might answer why it said #2.

Re: Intermittent no start, no boost and bad vacuum = I'm stumped

Mechanical Mike: There is no sign of fuel in the regulator or line attached to it. The by-pass valve seems pretty smooth but when I actuated the arm the top third of the BCS feels somewhat rough. As for the coils, when the volt meter I am borrowing arrives I will test both sides of all three. The ...

Re: Intermittent no start, no boost and bad vacuum = I'm stumped

Willwren:The coolant is full, clear and bright green with no signs of oil or sludge (I flushed and changed with new the LIM gaskets about a year ago) The oil cap is clean with no signs of coolant in the crank case.(no milky residue) After warming the car the oil is clear and looks really good ...

Intermittent no start, no boost and bad vacuum = I'm stumped

Here's the deal my car has been choosing not to start from time to time, it comes and goes like the wind so nailing down if it is no spark or no fuel has been challenging. I do know it has very good pressure at the fuel rail when it wont start (40psi). by the time I go to check for spark it always ...

Re: LOTS of white smoke!!!

The manifold is off!! The gaskets were crap. I will try to get some pics up tomorow. I did run into a problem with the retainers on the end of the fuel injectors two came out missing peices and one was totally gone. Are the injectors ok to use this way? I cleaned and prepped all of the gasket ...

Re: LOTS of white smoke!!!

Here is what Ive learned thismorning plugs #3 #5 are totally washed clean. There is a milky residue around the filler tube. The oil apears dark brown with no sign of coolant, although I know it is in there because of the way the filler tube looked. The rad has no visible coolant inside of it. The ...

Re: LOTS of white smoke!!!

I disagree that its a head gasket. It's so rare is not even worth mentioning, we have only seen like 2 head gasket failures in the years of this forum. Get those LIM gaskets changed and drain your oil immediately.

After reading on both forums the last few years i was kind of thinking along the ...

Re: Autozone wheel hub and LIM compatability questions

DONT BUY THE CHEAP ONE @ AZ. I bought 2 of the cheap ones only got 5k out of one and 8k out of the other. I'd get the timkens or the costly O.E. hubs. You get what you pay for with hubs.

Re: add me to the list (vibrations)

Just something to check that my step dad mentioned to me. Check the serial number of the tires you purchased. The last 2-4 digits are usually the manufacture date. You never know, but you could have gotten an old tire that was already falling apart inside from age. I would definately switch them ...

Re: add me to the list (vibrations)

Was this a problem before the new tires?

If the vibration came on with the new tires have them rebalanced. I would also have the tires rotated, If the vibration continues and has moved to a different part of the car you would know it is a bad tire.

If you can see the seat next to you shaking I'm ...

I'd check the torsion bars in the trunk they probably smack together when you hit a bump.
