Re: The Brand New Second Hand 2000 SSEi

Tried to make it more shiny. Cut and buffed then cut and buffed and then cut and buffed again! All that work and makes no change in the pictures. :( At least the paint is smooth now and most of the scratches are gone.

Re: What did you do to your car today?

Got tired of looking at its scratches so I cut and buffed it then I cut and buffed it. After all that I cut and buffed it.

Pics Pics!! PICS!!!
LOL. It does not look any different in pictures than it did when I made my picture thread. Was a bunch of scratches you could see in person but my phone ...

Re: Moar Low-ish (Now with slightly moar low, pics on pg.3)

Stop getting my tires dirty! *fuss*

Thing looks sweet but that heat exchanger scares the crap out of me. Dunno why, I am sure my Cobras air to water intercoolers hung that low or even lower and its not like that flimsy piece of plastic they call a bumper would have protected them but just seeing it ...

Re: Question about a code.

That's what I had thought. I also checked the EVAP valve and it is working properly. So..... dunno. Guess when I send my ECM to Intense for the tune-up that I will just have EVAP, EGR and O2 codes removed from the system. Thinking of getting a 3.5" pulley as well.

Re: Question about a code.

Well heck, replaced the AC sensor and the tank pressure sensor and the code is still there. I read both sensors and they have their refrence voltage and are sending out a proper signal but for whatever reason, my ECM just still throws that code.
Not sure how the Bonneville factory computer is ...

Re: What did you do to your car today?

Still confused why I have the 1639. Put the tank Pressure Sensor in and the AC sensor, both get voltage but still that P1639 code persists. Time for a Bonnefire.

Re: What did you do to your car today?

That's a lot of knock. Either run it beltless or get a stocker on there ASAP.

No. May order a larger pulley, may order an intercooler since it needs a rear head gasket anyway, may sell it. Who knows. I have car ADD. They tick me off enough and I just move on and this car has been one hell of a ...

Re: What did you do to your car today?

Installed the new AC sensor which did not eliminate the P1639 code and slapped in my new rear shocks. Took it for its first real drive today and noticed after getting some heat soaked into it that I was seeing as much as 9* KR going uphill to maintain 80 MPH with apx 6 psi of boost.

Guess time to ...

Woot woot!!! LOLZ.

Mr. UPS guy just brought me some more goodies. Brand new OEM rear shocks with mounts. Couldn't resist for $50 for the pair. Also dropped off my AC pressure sensor in hopes of clearing my P1639 code.

Re: The Brand New Second Hand 2000 SSEi

Oh this thing needs some serious paint work. Hood has huge chunks of clear missing and the front bumper has that.... wrinkle in it. I hope I can have it fixed as it seems people want Ludacris money for the front bumper skins for these things.

Looking at your sig pic your car looks really nice too.

Re: Bought a 2000 SSEi last night! Already regret it.

Threw some water on it today. Still figuring how I want to tackle the water loss issue. Right now it has stopped but only time will tell.

The Brand New Second Hand 2000 SSEi

Now that I have had a chance to throw a bucket of water on it I don't feel so bad to show my new to me Bonneville I bought last Thursday and then spent the last week overhauling. Still needs a lot more cleaning and work but it will get there. Hope someday it will be worthy to hang out with some of ...

Re: Stutters at startup after 5 minutes or more of sitting.

Doubt the block is cracked. I don't have the equipment but I am sure I can get my hands on it. Not going through that kind of hassle though, car just aint worth it. I will wait and for the Blue Devil to stop working and then see which cylinder (s) are leaking and then pull it apart and inspect the ...

Re: Stutters at startup after 5 minutes or more of sitting.

I Blue Deviled the car yesterday. It no longer smokes, no longer overheats after several drives and no longer stutters at startup.

So, headgasket or heads the more common issue on these motors?

I don't like sealers but wanted to test a theory and unfortunately it was right.

It must be a very ...

Re: Stutters at startup after 5 minutes or more of sitting.

Lower and upper gaskets replaced last week with Felpro, new water pump, flush, dexcool, several oil changes before a mile was put on it.

On the gaskets, after speaking to Intense and 3800 Performance they both say the Felpro metal ones are a hair thinner than the original plastic ones and some ...
