Re: ICM's keep burning out
That video actually explained alot. The first time my icm went out, 2 winters ago, one of the coil packs cracked open. I think I'm gunna replace all of them now. See if that helps

Re: ICM's keep burning out
No it runs absolutely fine, no signs of anything. Pulled up to the stoplight, sat there for about 20 seconds and as soon as it turned green, the car hesitated than died

Re: ICM's keep burning out
How about the alternator? Would having to much juice cause it? I have an upgraded alternator with 200 peak output to handle my system.

Re: ICM's keep burning out
Yeah I suppose, a friend of mine has a grand prize with. Smoked out tranny that I'm going to try to get his factory icm from just as a back up in case. Hopefully it doesn't happen again, luckily I haven't been stranded to far from home yet

Re: ICM's keep burning out
Okay. I'll clean some of it off and just smear some on there. It's got to be getting back feed from somewhere though if it's burning out, not?

Re: ICM's keep burning out
I'll defiantly take the bracket off and see what that looks like. I have been putting a generous amount of dielectric on as well and the heat sync is shiny, pretty much new looking

ICM's keep burning out
I have an 02 Bonneville sle non supecharged. Tommorrow will be the third time I replace it with in a year. The first time I replaced it, it lasted almost a full year and I just replaced it again about 3 weeks ago, now it's out again. What could cause this to happen?

Re: stutter during acceleration
So here's an update. I just scanned the car, maf sensor code and evap. So my first step is going to be replace the maf sensor and see where that gets me. My buddy has a nice snap on scanner that I'm going to have him run the car and monitor everything and see if anything else looks fishy. I'll get ...

Re: stutter during acceleration
I plugged in the maf sensor last night cleared the codes and drove it around for about a half hour and rescanned the car. Only the evap code was up again. I've had it plugged in all day today and it still is stuttering. I don't have time tonight to scan the car again but will get to it tomorrow and ...

stutter during acceleration
2002 Pontiac Bonneville sle non supercharged. The other day I was waiting in line at the bank for about 10 minutes when my car, to what it seemed like, started to miss. I help the rpm up to about 2 grand and an unbunrned few smell began. About a minute later it ran like normal again. Another five ...

Re: tranny temp sensor
Alright thanks I'll have to give that app a shot. If that doesn't work, I was checking out the temp sensor online, it shows two wires hook up to it, if I hooked up a digital gauge in parallel with it, would it read that sensor?

tranny temp sensor
I'm wondering how hard it is to put a tranny temp sensor in my bonneville, The 4t60e. I've been having issues with the tranny and it only seems to do it when the ambient air temperature is above 60. I just want to monitor the tranny and see how much warmer it's getting on those days compared to the ...

Re: odorous smell
I basically pulled all the vent covers off and the blower motor. The smell was on the blower motor and the area around the blower motor but no smell at the vents, which makes sense becuase i can only smell it when I run the fan. Is there something I can clean the blower motor and inside there with ...

odorous smell
Ever since I've owned my car (about a year) a horrendous smell omits from the vents when the fan is running. I just can't take it anymore. If I set the temperature at 90 I don't really get the smell that bad but when turned down to 60 or anywhere in between there and 80 the smell makes a person ...
