Re: Aargh!! Possible Rod Knock

So at about 91k miles, I suddenly developed a ticking that shortly develop into a knock. I changed the LIM gaskets some time ago, so oil contamination should not have been the culprit. We pulled off all the belts and ran the car to eliminate extraneous noise and it seems the noise is coming from ...

Re: Will 20" wheels have an adverse affect on my TPMS?

GXP wheels are 18x8. The key to making 8.5" work will be the offset of the wheel you're considering. Too low and you hit your fender, too high and you won't clear the strut. If you were to err on a different tire size, I would go in the direction of slightly shorter than stock.

Hub-centric rings ...

Re: Will 20" wheels have an adverse affect on my TPMS?

Provided you either have the right hub diameter or a hub-centric ring, you can use 5x114.3 with no issues. A 20x8.5 might be a little wide though. Stock wheels are 7" wide.

unfortunately the aftermarket wheel choices are slim when it comes to 20x7". when searching for wheels online all sites say ...

Re: Is my rear suspension shot? '05 SE

Around 70k miles my 02 was doing this (felt like the rear or the car was swaying left to right when i hit a bump) about 5k miles later i hit a lager hole and snapped the right rear shock in 1/2. upon inspecting them after removal i discovered they had been blown out for some time. Once replaced she ...

Will 20" wheels have an adverse affect on my TPMS?

I have have decided it's time for a wheel upgrade. I plan on going with a 20x8.5 rim with 245/35/R20 tires all around.
Here's a link to a tire height chart http://www.wheelcityusa.com/tires/chart.htm (VERY USEFUL)
original tire is 235/55-17 making the height 27.18" the 245/35/R20 is 26.75" will ...

Thanks for you input guys. i'll start by getting it scanned.
I have doubts that the ignition is bad. the car only has 80k miles. seems kinda premature for that part to wear.

Re: headlight assembly removal

Mission accomplished i used a plastic bondo spreader to protect the paint on the fender and pryed with a flat headed screwdriver while someone else pulled. :btruestory:

ps: it's the housing that broke (the plastic ear with the metal clip that the actual bolt goes through)
